But like the over anxious rookie I'm too often over focused on my own need to succeed to have the perspective, patience and skills to play my best game. And when I do get into the end zone, I too often look like it is my first time there.
Fortunately, I have a coach that knows all my faults, provides access to wisdom and faith and hope and strength in unlimited quantities and who keeps putting me back in the game with encouragement and guarantees that I will win in the end if I keep playing.
So as I rise in the morning I will praise God. As I go through the day I will remember Whose I am and strive to reflect that in all my relationships and dealings. As I lay down at night I will thank God for all things because God promises that all will come to good as I trust God and grow in faith.
Yes, coach, put me in!
